NPC Trade Aegis the Honedge

After my trainer recent award show he was disappointed by the results. I heard that many of his fans were mad that he didn’t win something and there were many hoots about how he should have got a won something. It covered the whole Hooter and every time he read one he would grow angry and angrier about this. How do I know this? I always see him on the couch drinking and going through the hoots and smashing those bottles onto the ground.

I remember the time when I became his pokemon. He was happy to see me and swiped me through the air a few times for fun. Then after a week I knew he was bored of me. I wasn’t a pokemon that could cheer someone up and I was just hanging around his mansion doing practically nothing. He never treated me like his friend or anything, he completely forgot that I was in his home. I felt lonely and anger grew inside of me, but I was able to hold it in the whole time.

The day came when he hooted about how he wanted a cat. He asked that if anyone had a Meowth he would give me to them. How dare he would do that to me? Giving me to someone else for a measly cat. I was going to throw an attack on him but he returned me back into my pokeball. I hate being in the pokeball. It was an awful place where you are there just by yourself without anyone else. It was cold and dark, I couldn’t see anything.

Now I know that trainers only have pokemon just only for their entertainment. They’ll  get sick of you after a week and will get another one. I bet that next trainer will be like that, I can’t for her to get me out of the pokeball so I could get rid of her and be free again. I hate trainers, I hate trainers so much.


At the heart shaped lake at Symbol Point…
I looked around for him, he could have at least mentioned where he was! Thea walked beside me looking around as well. Thea had better eyesight than humans so she would find him first before I do. We heard that he was around Symbol Point, quite an interesting spot to trade. I had to hurry up before any of his fan girls might get to him before I do.
‘This is annoying.’ I huffed in annoyance. ‘It would be much easier if I had Knight here but they wouldn’t let me bring my whole team here.’
Thea let out a sigh and thought, here it comes again.

Around two months ago…
‘I can’t wait to bring everyone here to this amazing Rainbow Region!’ I said excitedly as I turned the PC on.
Thea sat and looked up at her wide smile looking at the screen while she pressed a few buttons.
‘I can’t wait to show them Meri. I’m sure they love to make friends with her.’
We were in the Pokecentre and I planned to bring my whole team here. I wanted to show them what this region is like and we would all have some experience in this place. I brought the cursor over Knight, my Swellow.
‘Ok Knight is first!’
I pressed enter and I could feel the PC work but that it suddenly stopped with a window on the screen. It was an error…but what? I read the window with a picture of some boy’s face with dark blue spike hair wearing a top hat and weird glasses and moustache.
“You cannot do that. You can only bring one pokemon from another region. SorRY about that.”
Thea saw my face with my mouth closed shut, my eyes glare at the screen and my head boil. She could even see smoke coming out of my nostrils and ears. I closed the window and tried it on my other pokemon. It ended up the same, with the window say. I tried and tried.

“You cannot do that. You can only bring one pokemon from another region. SorRY about that.”

“I’m sorry but no matter how much you do this you still won’t able to bring them here. SorRY about that.”
“SorRY about that, even if you met me personally you still won’t get them back. You might wanna stop before you break this machine.”

My head was red in fury and I roared in rage which shook the whole building.
‘WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’

Back to the heart shaped lake at Symbol Point
Thea rolled her eyes while I cried like a child. The sun was almost setting and Thea knew that I would not get anywhere if I cried. She looked across the lake and spotted a man laid in the grass near the shore. Thea poked me with her tail but I was busy crying so she used telekinesis on me and we both went around the lake to him.

Before we approached him I had realized that Thea found him and I quickly wiped my tears away. My eyes sharpened looking at him.
‘He’s there! Let’s do this!’  I said heroically and took the Meowth’s pokeball out of my bag.
I marched towards him and he noticed me. I started to shake, I don’t want to say anything wrong in front of an actor. Leornardo was watching a video and I could slightly hear it.
“On Rainbow News it seems like a girl and an Espeon has stolen a Meowth from Nashira’s Casino.”
I flinched and shivered in fear, I was on the news for the first time…for stealing a pokemon.
“She has brown hair and wearing a pink dress but we do not have full details about how she looks since all the cameras were being destroyed by a Baltoy and a Shiny Espurr.”
I could hear Everett break the camera and the statics coming out of the Leornardo’s phone I was starting to sweat.
“My friend wanted that Meowth so badly, well at least there was another one there…
So Nashira what would you do if we found the thief? Would she be sent to jail?”
I gulped and my body shook, I could feel it going to fall down to the ground.
“No no, I know she was a ****** and a ***** but you know what I’ll make her do. I’ll make her ***** work at the-“

My eyes widen in the shock of words she said, it was horrifying. The actor quickly shut his phone off before I listen to the whole thing.
‘So what are you here for?’ he asked and showed him Meowth’s pokeball with my hands shaking.
My hands weren’t shaking because he was a famous actor, but because I was a thief. His pulled his back up and stood very tall in front of me. I timidly looked up at him, he was in his brown coat wearing a fedora hat concealing his face.
‘Ah, so you have that Meowth. Thanks, here is the Honedge.’
He showed me a silver pokeball with metal beads on it. We traded and as soon as he got the Meoth he released her.

The Meowth fluttered her eyelashes and looked up to her owner. She purred in happiness and rubbed her body against his legs. I could see his eyes twinkle from the Meowth’s cuteness.
‘Hello…Kitty.’ he said and hugged her up in joy.
I felt like I could see rainbow and love hearts around him. I’m not quite sure if I was hallucinating or not. I wasn’t even sure if I could see his eyes water in joy.
‘Kitty!’
‘Meowth!’
I started to be curious about how my Honedge is so I released it out of the pokeball. The Honedge appeared with its glassy blue eyes devilly look at me.
‘Hi I’m-‘

The Honedge unsheathed himself and used Aerial Ace on me. I screamed by Thea used Psychic and knocked him out. She didn’t use that move strongly which is what I expect from her when we deal with new members on our team. This isn’t the first time one of my team members attack me. The first one in the region was Everett but he only wanted a bobby pin. The Honedge gave a mean look at Thea. He used Shadow Sneak and his shadow crawled up towards Thea and hit her a few times. Then he used Pursuit which is one of the moves we both hate. He hit her up into the lake and Thea falls into the lake.

Honedge was now after me. I didn’t want to return him back into his pokeball, the next time I release him out he would be much angrier so I have to calm him down right now. I felt my bag move, I heard pokeballs open in my bag. Meri and Carrick released themselves out of their pokeballs.
‘Ah good timing Meri!’ I said and pointed at the lake. ‘Hurry! Thea’s in the lake!’
Meri gave a nodded and jumped into the lake.
‘Carrick, I need your help.’ I told him and he nodded in confidence. ‘We need to calm him down-‘
Carrick pointed with his pincer at the Honedge using Aerial Ace again. I quickly picked Carrick up and jumped out of the way. Honedge dug into the grass and threw the dirt out of the ground making a mess.
‘Urgh just when I needed Irene. She would solve this situation easily.’ I muttered as I felt my bag move again.

Everett released itself out of the pokeball and stared creepily at the Honedge.
‘Oh no…’
Everett pounced onto Honedge covering his view of his surroundings. Honedge shook back and forth but Everett always holds onto its opponent tightly until he steals something. Everett crawled up to the handle and grabbed onto the sheath.
‘Everett! Take your hands of that!’ I yelled in annoyance.
I dropped Carrick down as he dances in panic. I grabbed Everret and tried to pull him away from Honedge’s sheath. Even though he is small I still have trouble pulling him off. Only Thea can pull him off anyone. Honedge was furious and swung his cloth-like arm up, down, left and right. I was in the air holding tightly on Everett!
‘Help!’ I cried as Leornardo and his Meowth stared at us.
‘Urgh so much trouble here. Come on Kitty, let’s go and have some fish!’ he said cheerfully to his new pokemon.
She purred happily and they both skipped away.
‘Woah wait hey!’ I shouted. ‘Can you help me for a minute!? Please!’

Carrick stared at us not knowing what to do. He was waiting for an order from me but I don’t even know what Carrick should do. I had to find a way for Everett to let go and then a funny idea came to mind. I started to tickle Everett and I could hear it laugh. Honedge gave a fling and it sent us up in the air. Me and Everett screamed as we both hugged each other. Clayton released itself out of his pokeball and wondered why it was in the air. It has levitation so we fell while he looked at us.
‘Clayton! Hurry down and use Rapid Spin!’ I shouted and Clayton zoomed down to the ground and span.

The air below us slowed our fall and we were able to land safely onto the ground. I slowed down my breaths and thanked Clayton. Carrick was versing Honedge but he didn’t know what to do. Honedge used Sword Dance which was a danger to Carrick, its attack is going to be strong. Honedge used Shadow Sneak and kicked him towards the lake. Carrick cried in fear from the water.

A spurt of water came out of the lake and Thea was on the top. Thea used telekinesis saving Carrick from into the water. She placed him back on the land but Carrick had fainted from shock. Thea jumped off the spurt of water and used a small shaped Shadow Ball on Honedge. It hit Honedge and the ground shattered as Honedge was hit really hard against it.

Thea growled at him but soon calmed herself. She checked if her ribbon was fine and licked her fur. I slowly approached Honedge and looked down at the wounded pokemon.
‘Uh…Honedge…I’m sorry about that. We just don’t know how to calm you down.’
Honedge stared angrily at me and I sighed.
‘Ok you’re still mad but please, you must have not been treated as well from him.’ I said. ‘I had a friend who was like that. The first time I got him from a friend he attacked me as well but I heard his trainer never really treated fairly to its pokemon. Why don’t we start over again?’
Honedge looked away and I smiled, not showing anger or annoyance at him.
‘I’m Sarah.’ I said and lifted Honedge up. ‘That’s Thea, Meri, Everett, Carrick and Clayton.’
Thea didn’t like Honedge and looked away busily licking its fur. Meri and Clayton were trying to wake up Carrick and Everett was happily picking the grass.
‘I call them by nicknames and they’re all my friends. I have asked them all if they wanted to join my adventure and they did…well except for Everett. He was given to me by a friend. He actually attacked me but only because he liked my bobby pin and wanted to steal it. He steals something off everyone.’
I was soon able to see Honedge calm itself down, it sheathed itself and looked at them all.
‘You didn’t seem happy about being part of the group. I can release you into the wild if you want. I only traded with your previous trainer because I was concern about you. So then, do you want to be released out of the wild?’

Honedge didn’t answer, it was still thinking.
‘I can release you anytime you want. Just get out of the pokeball and tell me and I’ll do it. Do you know how to do it?’
He shook and looked at Carrick getting himself up. Meri and Clayton were happy to see he was fine.
‘That’s ok, Thea will teach you how to do that.’ I said and looked at Thea.
She gave me a glare, it seems like she didn’t want to teach Honedge how to get out of the pokeball. I laughed a little.
‘Actually I’ll let someone else teach you since you kinda made her mad but don’t worry they’re all nice. So do you want a nickname?’
Honedge gave a slight nod, it seemed embarrassed about it.
‘How about Aegis?’ I asked and it gave another nod. ‘You know if you don’t like it you can tell me ok.’

I took out four pokeballs out of my bag and everyone looked at me.
‘Ok everyone time to return!’ I said. ‘Great job everyone, great teamwork there Meri and Thea. Clay thanks for saving me and Everett. Carrick you showed your bravery and Everett...please don’t do that again. I’ll release you guys out for dinner.’
They all let out a happy cry and I returned Meri, Clayton, Everett and Carrick back. As always Thea stayed out of her pokeball. Aegis gave an evil look at Thea while Thea stick out her tongue.
‘Ok Thea no need to do that.’ I said and looked at Aegis. ‘Well Aegis it’s time for you to return in here as well.’
Aegis angrily shook. I thought that he may not like being in the pokeball. I heard that some pokemon don’t like it but Thea drew me how it looked like in her pokeball with a chalk ad a board and she likes it. She’s only out because she just wants to protect me.
‘Ok Aegis you can be out of your pokeball but I have to put you back into the pokeball after dinner.’
He agreed and we all walked to the nearest Pokecentre. Aegis and Thea gave each other bad looks but I’m sure they’ll get use to each other.


After dinner I had to be sent back into the pokeball. I didn’t want to be sent back in but the girl said that she’ll release me as soon as she wakes up to if I’m ok. I was zapped back into the cold dark place…but it seems different. It wasn’t dark…it wasn’t cold…it felt cosy and warm. Why does it feel like that? What is this mysterious feeling I’m having? It’s so strange, I never felt this before. Is that what it feels like when you’re cared.
